Life Drawing

Life Drawing is not my strongest, I enjoy working big with messy materials. This is a form of the womens body in different positions layered.
Using grafite to create mark/shadows around the body.

Identity Project - Surface Design and Stitch

I am Working on this project at the moment, I have taken the stitching method from the Corset idea and developed it. These images are reversed, the front looks normal and i just thought the wrong way up looks better than normal. I used colours that contrast eachother, I have enjoyed working this way and hope to use this in my Final Majot Project somehow.

Resistance War Project - Womens Corset- Sex Trafficking

War and militarism particularly influenced sex trafficking in women. I was hoping to make a whole series of different Corsets, due to time constraints, this could not been produced. This is created using embroidery.

Costume Project- Jimi Hendrix- Waist jacket

This was a one day Costume project between two, Hesther and myself thought why not Jimi Hendrix- one of the greatest guitarist in musical history. Hendrix was well known for his unique sense of fashion and wardrobe and hair. We took the waist-jacket in to consideration and produced one of of natural resource. The colour of the jacket show his passion for music. The boy modelling our Costume is a student from my College and looked the part to model for our waist-jacket.

Surface Design- Print and Stitch

I have become attached to swirls and embroidery stitching, I think its quite interesting how Its the same mehtod, but the final product is different everytime.

Drawing Design- Print and Stitch

This is from textiles pathway, we created a big picture using natural resource; grafite, drawing ink and chalk. i then decide to add colour with stitch and rope, this made it look far more interesting.

Exploratory- Textile Surface Design, Dye, Stitch, Layers, Hand and Machine

The two sample above is what I created from using dye, hand and machine stitch. During the exploratory stage I enjoyed textiles and was not sure what i wanted to do in my pathway. This opened my eyes and I decided to carry this on.
This was my final piece in textiles exploratory. I used embroidery and hand stitching, iron-on-studs, pleats and dyed fabric. I love the warm colours it makes me smile.
